Baseball Game Preview: Waverly Tigers vs. Marietta Tigers

Waverly will square off against Marietta at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Waverly and three for Marietta.

Waverly fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Wheelersburg on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by just one run.

Meanwhile, Marietta fell victim to Trimble and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Tomcats by a score of 1-0.

Marietta's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Waverly, they now have a losing record of 10-11.
