Softball Recap: Merryville Snags Sixth Victory in Last Eight Games

Merryville won the last time they faced Evans and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Eagles.

Merryville let Kyleigh Spillers and Makinly Fowler run wild. Spillers went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI, while Fowler scored a run while going 2-for-3. Those four RBI gave Spillers a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Camille Davis, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Merryville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-13 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Evans, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-11 record.

As of now, neither Merryville nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
