Football Recap: Jordan's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

Jordan had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Stratford Spartans 49-29 on Saturday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Warriors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 328th, while the Spartans are ranked 703rd).

Patrick Spann produced another solid performance rushing for 195 yards and four scores while picking up 11.5 yards per carry, and also catching one TD. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Jordan Hightower was another major influence, as he rushed for 81 yards and ran in a TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Jordan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 455 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Stratford still got an impressive performance from Gavin Guzman, who threw for 210 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 30 yards and a pair of TDs. Davis Kendall helped out on the ground, rushing for 107 yards.

The win was the fourth in a row for Jordan, bringing their record up to 9-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.8 points over those games. As for Stratford, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Coming up, Jordan will host King at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,153 yards in their previous games. Stratford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
