Recap: Eagle Ridge Christian Eagles vs. St. Paul Lutheran Giants
The Eagle Ridge Christian Eagles lost against the St. Paul Lutheran Giants back in January of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Eagle Ridge Christian was beaten by St. Paul Lutheran 46-14. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Eagle Ridge Christian has scored all season.
St. Paul Lutheran's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Sherrill, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Sherrill is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 15 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Julie Lunsford, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten steals.
Eagle Ridge Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for St. Paul Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.
Eagle Ridge Christian will head out on the road to square off against Westwood Baptist Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Westwood Baptist Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Saturday. As for St. Paul Lutheran, St. Paul Lutheran and Crystal City will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Crystal City is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
