Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Academy Find Success

Mountain View Academy saw some tournament action on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Trinity Prep Crusaders 2-1.

Mountain View Academy found their leader in freshman Madi Melgar, who had five digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Melgar.

Mountain View Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in six consecutive contests.

The victory got Mountain View Academy back to even at 6-6. As for Trinity Prep, they moved to 7-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Mountain View Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Glendale Adventist on the 2nd. As for Trinity Prep, they will head out to face off against Summerfield Waldorf at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
