Football Recap: Archer City Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Archer City extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were outmatched by the Alvord Bulldogs and fell 55-0. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Parker Hilbers threw for 92 yards on five of 12 attempts. Casen Booher was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards.

As for Alvord, they now have a winning record of 2-1. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their nine-point performance the matchup before.

Alvord's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cutter Hamilton, who rushed for 103 yards and one TD. Those 103 rushing yards gave Hamilton a new career-high. Zane Fuentes was another key rusher, rushing for 82 yards and one touchdown on only six carries.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archer City will challenge Nocona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Alvord, they will face off against Windthorst at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
