While Mountain View's win against Mesa wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Toros skirted past the Jackrabbits 7-5. The Toros haven't had any issues with the Jackrabbits recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Mountain View let Brady Goodman and Talon Welker run wild. Goodman went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, while Welker went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs Welker has posted since back in March of 2025. Chasyn Cook was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Mountain View's record now sits at 15-9. As for Mesa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.

Mountain View will have a chance to go back-to-back against Mesa: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
