Basketball Game Preview: Salisbury Hornets vs. North Rowan Cavaliers

Salisbury is on a 25-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while North Rowan is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Salisbury Hornets will welcome the North Rowan Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Salisbury knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 games -- so hopefully North Rowan likes a good challenge.

Last Monday, Salisbury was fully in charge, breezing past Queen City Prep 83-42. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, North Rowan narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past West Rowan 62-60.

North Rowan is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.5 points over those games. As for Salisbury, their win bumped their record up to 20-3.

Salisbury was able to grind out a solid victory over North Rowan when the teams last played back in January, winning 73-65. Does Salisbury have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Rowan turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
