Soccer Recap: Los Gatos Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Los Gatos, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wilcox Chargers a 1-0 shutout on Friday. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 194th, while the Chargers are ranked 409th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Los Gatos' one-goal win came courtesy of Cristian Zisa, who's now up to two this season.

Los Gatos' victory bumped their record up to 6-4-1. As for Wilcox, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6-3.

Los Gatos will be playing at home against Santa Clara at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wilcox has already played their next contest (against Fremont), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
