Sussex Central came into Tuesday's matchup having lost 15 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They enjoyed a cozy 48-29 win over the Surry County Cougars on Tuesday. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Surry County still got an impressive performance from Adalynn Swanner, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards. Swanner is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played.

Sussex Central's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Surry County, they dropped their record down to 0-14 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
