Soccer Recap: Fort Walton Beach Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Fort Walton Beach was not quite Gulf Breeze's equal in the second half on Monday. They lost 3-0 to the Gulf Breeze Dolphins. Having soared to a lofty seven goals in the game before, the Vikings' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Fort Walton Beach's loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Gulf Breeze, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Walton Beach will challenge Niceville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gulf Breeze, they will take on Choctawhatchee at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gulf Breeze is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.
