Basketball Game Preview: Mountain House Mustangs vs. Manteca Buffaloes

The Mountain House Mustangs are taking a road trip to face off against the Manteca Buffaloes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Mountain House's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.

Last Wednesday, Mountain House blew past Sierra, posting a 71-42 victory. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Timberwolves are ranked 969th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Coldin Parker, who posted 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Jordan Williams was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Meanwhile, Manteca came up short against Central Catholic on Wednesday and fell 52-41. The Buffaloes have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Mountain House's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-10. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game. As for Manteca, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.

Everything came up roses for Mountain House against Manteca in their previous matchup on January 2nd, as the team secured a 64-37 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mountain House since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
