Columbia Independent scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 56-19 win over Madison. That 56-19 margin sets a new team best for Columbia Independent this season.
It was another big night for Blake Morris, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. He set a new season high mark in steals with four. Another player making a difference was Gabe Martin, who scored eight points along with six assists.
The win makes it two in a row for Columbia Independent and bumps their season record up to 2-4. As for Madison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Columbia Independent won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Christian Fellowship at 5:45 p.m. on January 3rd. One thing working in Christian Fellowship's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests. As for Madison, they will be playing at home against Wellsville-Middletown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wellsville-Middletown is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
