Hackleburg won the last time they faced Phillips and things went their way on Friday too. The Panthers blew past the Bears, posting a 49-6 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 33 points or more this season.

A big part of Hackleburg's win came down to the chemistry between Maddox Vickery and his top target Daughtry Gober. Vickery gained 9 total yards while Gober rushed for 44 yards and one touchdown. Vickery also put up a rushing touchdown, which was his first of the season.

Hackleburg didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Phillips to a completion percentage of just 40.9%. The Panthers weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 25%.

The victory made it two in a row for Hackleburg and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.5 points over those games. As for Phillips, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
