Winning always takes teamwork, but on Wednesday Reed Duncan stepped things up a notch to give Columbia Academy the 'W'. Nobody could stop Duncan as he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Duncan's effort led Columbia Academy over Parklane Academy and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars are 7-2 against the Pioneers going back to March of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
