Baseball Game Preview: Frankfort Hot Dogs vs. Lebanon Tigers

For the second straight game, Frankfort will face off against Lebanon. The Hot Dogs will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Frankfort has three straight wins, Lebanon has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Frankfort had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Lebanon on Tuesday. The Hot Dogs were the clear victors by a 13-4 margin over the Tigers. With that victory, the Hot Dogs brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Michael Santos looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Aviel Santos was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Angel Lopez also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Frankfort pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lebanon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
