Softball Recap: Monument Valley Beats Many Farms for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Monument Valley had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They never let the Many Farms Lobos get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won five games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Adrianna Dominguez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Lenaya Chief was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Hailey Etsitty, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.

Monument Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Monument Valley's record is now 7-3. As for Many Farms, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Monument Valley has already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Holbrook on the 29th. As for Many Farms, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-5 defeat against Ganado on the 28th.
