Soccer Recap: Charlevoix Takes a Loss

If Charlevoix was riding high fresh off their 4-1 takedown of Kalkaska on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rayders lost 5-2 to the Kingsley Stags on Monday. Charlevoix were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Kingsley earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Charlevoix has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Kingsley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Charlevoix will head out to face off against Boyne City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kingsley, they will venture away from home to square off against Grayling at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
