            Baseball Preview: Maplesville Red Devils vs. Prattville Christian Academy Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            The Maplesville Red Devils will venture away from home to  face off against the Prattville Christian Academy Panthers  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Maplesville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6  runs per game  this season.
Last Thursday, Maplesville came up short against Billingsley  and fell  9-4. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Braden Atcheson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.  Cade Smith was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Prattville Christian Academy won against Saint James  on Thursday with six  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Friday. The Panthers walked away with  a   6-3  win over the Trojans. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Panthers.
 Ethan Walls spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Prattville Christian Academy's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Jack Diefenderfer, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run.
 Maplesville's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Prattville Christian Academy, their record now sits at 25-2.
 Maplesville couldn't quite get it done against Prattville Christian Academy in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024 as they fell  8-3. Can the Red Devils avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
