Frontier Academy wins going away against Union Colony Prep

The Frontier Academy Wolverines scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Union Colony Prep 60-43. The score was all tied up 22-22 at the break, but Frontier Academy was the better team in the second half.

Frontier Academy found their leader in underclassman Emily Gesick, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Gesick has scored at least 25% of Frontier Academy's points. Aaliyah Richardson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six steals and five rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Union Colony Prep lost, one person who can't be blamed is Madison Walter. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Walter's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nadene Chacon, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Union Colony Prep were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory got Frontier Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Union Colony Prep, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-4.

Frontier Academy will be playing at home against Lyons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Union Colony Prep is on the road again on Thursday and play against Dawson School at 4:30 p.m. on December 14th. Dawson School is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
