Softball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence managed to slip by Hanford the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Independence came up short against Hanford on Friday, falling 15-7. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bullpups apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2018.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Hanford, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4.

Coming up, Independence will face off against Garces Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hanford, they will square off against Frontier at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Frontier will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Hanford surely won't give up without a fight.
