Baseball Preview: Mount Union Trojans vs. Mifflin County Huskies
The Mount Union Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Mifflin County Huskies at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Union will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
On Thursday, Mount Union was able to grind out a solid victory over Tussey Mountain, taking the game 8-3. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by exactly five runs.
The team relied heavily on Julian Weirich, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Nasir Collins, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Mifflin County came out on top against Bald Eagle Area on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fourth inning. The Huskies put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 13-3 win. Winning may never get old, but the Huskies sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
