Recap: Marlboro County Bulldogs vs. Camden Bulldogs

Sadly, the Marlboro County Bulldogs are still looking for their first win of the season after 17 matchups. They had to suffer through a rough 114-15 loss at the hands of Camden. Marlboro County has struggled against Camden recently, as their matchup on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Joyce Edwards continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Camden, almost dropping a triple-double on 33 points, 24 rebounds, and nine steals. Edwards is crushing the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Braylin Mungo, who scored 18 points along with seven steals and five assists.

Marlboro County's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-17. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.1 points per game. As for Camden, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marlboro County will challenge Lake City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marlboro County is facing Lake City at the right time seeing as Lake City is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Camden, they will head out on the road to face off against Crestwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Camden knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Crestwood likes a good challenge.
