Volleyball Recap: Layton Comes Up Short

Layton lost against Syracuse back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lancers lost 3-0 to the Titans. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-12, 25-15.

Bryce Gardner paced Layton's offense, picking up five kills. Gardner got some help from Ben Peterson and his 12 assists.

Layton's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Syracuse, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3.

Layton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Davis on the 15th. As for Syracuse, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Farmington on the 15th.
