Basketball Recap: Steele Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Steele had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took down the United Longhorns 67-52 on Tuesday. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Longhorns are ranked 353rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Steele's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for United, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-16.

Looking ahead, Steele will square off against Weslaco on Thursday. Weslaco will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Steele surely won't give up without a fight. United does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
