Basketball Recap: Cherryvale Chargers vs. Erie Red Devils
After flying high against Bluestem last Friday, Cherryvale came back down to earth. The Cherryvale Chargers took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Erie Red Devils on Tuesday. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landon Fox, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 19 points. Fox's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carter Rousselle, who posted eight points and seven rebounds.
Reid Duff continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Erie, going 8 of 13 en route to 17 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Daniels, who scored six points.
Cherryvale's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Erie, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cherryvale will head out to challenge Fredonia on Friday. Fredonia knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Cherryvale likes a good challenge. As for Erie, they are taking a road trip to face off against Bluestem at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
