Football Game Preview: Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels vs. North Tama Redhawks

Gladbrook-Reinbeck has gone a perfect 3-0 against North Tama recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rebels will head out on the road to square off against the Redhawks at 7:00 p.m. Gladbrook-Reinbeck knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully North Tama likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Gladbrook-Reinbeck humbled Clarksville with a 56-20 victory. The Rebels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 36 points or more this season.

Treyvon Herron and Hudson Clark were among the main playmakers for Gladbrook-Reinbeck as the former gained 166 total yards and two touchdowns and the latter gained 56 total yards and five touchdowns. With that strong performance, Herron is now averaging an impressive 100.9 rushing yards per game.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Gladbrook-Reinbeck, adding 18 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Clark, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from him.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 74 points the game before, North Tama was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were dealt a 61-12 defeat at the hands of Collins-Maxwell. The contest marked the Redhawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Gladbrook-Reinbeck's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for North Tama, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Everything came up roses for Gladbrook-Reinbeck against North Tama in their previous meeting back in September of 2017, as the team secured a 42-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
