Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln-Way West vs. Andrew

Lincoln-Way West is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will venture away from home to square off against the Andrew Thunderbolts at 6:15 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Lincoln-Way West fell victim to Mother McAuley and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mighty Macs.

Meanwhile, Andrew faced Lincoln-Way Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Thunderbolts fell just short of the Knights by a score of 1-0. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Andrew couldn't quite close it out.

Lincoln-Way West has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Andrew, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Lincoln-Way West suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Andrew in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
