Football Recap: Taholah Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Taholah fell victim to Ocosta and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Wildcats 46-0. The defeat leaves the Chitwhins still looking for their first win of the season.

Ocosta's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ronin Rutzer, who rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also picked up 38 receiving yards and one TD. That's the most receiving yards Rutzer has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Dayshawn Carter, who rushed for 67 yards and one score.

Taholah's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Ocosta, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Taholah and Ocosta will both be playing Naselle the next time they take the field. The Chitwhins will host the Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th.
