Basketball Recap: Columbia Christian Drops Highest Score of Season Against Vernonia/Jewell

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Columbia Christian). They came out on top against Vernonia/Jewell by a score of 72-59 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Columbia Christian's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-8. As for Vernonia/Jewell, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia Christian will challenge Faith Bible Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vernonia/Jewell, they will take on Nestucca at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
