Softball Recap: Imperial Tigers vs. Brawley Wildcats        
        
		
            
 Imperial had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Brawley Wildcats  a   10-0 shutout  on Wednesday. Considering Imperial has won 12 matches by more than five  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
  Mariana Pesqueira and  Clarissa Davila did most of the damage at the plate:  Pesqueira  went 2-for-3 with four  RBI, two  doubles,  and a  run, while  Davila  scored two  runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Hannah Johnson, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-3.
 On Brawley's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Caitlyn Padilla, who  went 1-for-2 with a  double.
 Imperial has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 17 of their last 18 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 24-3-1 record  this season. As for Brawley, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost six of their last eight games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record  this season.
 Imperial will be playing in front of their home fans against Academy of Our Lady of Peace at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. The pair have allowed few  runs on average, (Imperial: 2.4, Academy of Our Lady of Peace: 4) so any  runs scored will be well earned. Brawley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
