Basketball Recap: Machias Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Machias can now relate to. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 48-47 to the Calais Blue Devils. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Devils earlier this season, when they won 42-40.

Machias' loss dropped their record down to 16-3. As for Calais, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Machias nor Calais have any future games scheduled.
