Volleyball Recap: Coahulla Creek Comes Up Short

Coahulla Creek lost against Ringgold back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Colts took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-20.

Alyce Norton paced Coahulla Creek's offense, picking up nine kills. Norton were helped by Greenlee Lumpkin and Reece Elliott, who contributed nine assists each. Finally, Norton was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Leading Ringgold to victory were Kinsley Killingsworth and Olivia Jackson. Killingsworth had 12 digs, while Jackson had three digs and two aces. That's the most digs Killingsworth has posted over her last six matchups.

Coahulla Creek now has a losing record of 20-21. As for Ringgold, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-9.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Coahulla Creek is set to square off against their familiar foe Union County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Ringgold will face off against rival North Cobb Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
