Recap: Benedictine Cadets vs. Burke County Bears        
        
		
            
 The Benedictine Cadets were handed a two-point  defeat in their last  match, but they sure didn't let that happen against the Burke County Bears  on Thursday. Benedictine was the clear victor by a  68-44 margin over Burke County. This was a revenge  match for Benedictine, as the team was forced to settle for a  46-44 loss when these two played  last Friday.
  Caleb Jones was  his usual excellent self,  scoring 31 points along with six  rebounds and three  steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which  he has scored at least a third of Benedictine's points. Another player making a difference was  LaDon Bryant, who  scored 14 points along with seven  rebounds and two  steals.
 Loss or not, Burke County got some senior leadership from  Bryce Wimberly and  Kelly Williams.  Wimberly  scored 15 points along with six  rebounds and two  steals, while  Williams.  scored eight points. Wimberly has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's  played.
 Benedictine is  on a roll lately: they've  won 12 of their last 15 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record  this season. As for Burke County, their loss dropped their record down to 18-7.
 Benedictine and New Hampstead will face off  at 8:30  p.m.  on February 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. New Hampstead will roll in looking for their  13th straight  win, something Benedictine surely won't give up without a fight. As for Burke County, they and Southeast Bulloch will face off  at 5:30  p.m.  on February 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Burke County focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 19 on Thursday.
