Basketball Recap: Center Takes a Loss

If Center was feeling good fresh off their 62-29 takedown of Mancos last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Center Vikings received a blow on Friday as they fell 49-31 to the Fowler Grizzlies.

Fowler's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bruley McCuistion, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. McCuistion has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Brock True, who posted eight points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Center's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Fowler, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Center wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 47-41 win against Swallows Charter Academy on the 21st. As for Fowler, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-51 defeat against Frontier Academy on the 21st.
