Albion had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. Everything went their way against the Wilson Lakemen as they made off with a 12-1 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 on Thursday.

Gavin Boyce made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has become a key player for Albion: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Boyce was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with five stolen bases and four runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

In other batting news, Nathan Gibson was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Logan Scott-Grager also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Albion now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Wilson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Albion does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wilson, they will challenge Royalton-Hartland at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Lakemen's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
