Basketball Recap: Tana Hoyer Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Potter County Co-Op [Gettysburg/Hoven]

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Colman-Egan, Howard was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They secured a 51-45 W over the Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] Battlers.

Howard's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tana Hoyer led the charge by going 8-for-11 en route to 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Rudebusch, who posted six points and three steals.

Despite the defeat, Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] had strong showings from PEYTON STEVENS, who had 18 points and six boards, and EMMA SCHLACHTER, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 40% of Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven]'s points, marking the fifth time in a row STEVENS has earned more than a third of the team's points. ALYSSA KAUP was another key player, putting up four points and five assists.

Howard's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven], they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
