Memorial is 9-1 against Cypress Ridge since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Rams at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Memorial has four straight wins, Cypress Ridge has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Memorial was able to grind out a solid victory over Cypress Falls, taking the game 51-43.

Meanwhile, Cypress Ridge lost 53-33 to Cy-Fair on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1087th, while the Bobcats are ranked 483rd).

Cypress Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 21-7.

Everything came up roses for Memorial against Cypress Ridge when the teams last played back in December of 2025, as the squad secured an 82-35 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
