Softball Recap: Midwest Central/Illini Central Comes Up Short

Midwest Central/Illini Central lost against Williamsville back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raiders lost 16-1 to the Bullets.

Midwest Central/Illini Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Wood, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Wood hit this season.

Midwest Central/Illini Central dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Williamsville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Midwest Central/Illini Central will head out to challenge PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Williamsville, they will venture away from home to square off against East Peoria at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday.
