Recap: Deerfield Spartans vs. Greeley County Jackrabbits
The Deerfield Spartans lost to the Greeley County Jackrabbits back in February of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. Deerfield walked away with a 51-44 win over Greeley County. The win made it back-to-back wins for Deerfield.
Deerfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Colten Musil out in front who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. Musil hasn't dropped below 15 points for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cristian Botello, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.
Deerfield has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Greeley County, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
Deerfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Granada on Monday. Granada is coming into the match with seven straight defeats on the road, meaning Deerfield will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. As for Greeley County, they will take on Weskan at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
