Volleyball Recap: American Fork Starts Season with Victory Against Maple Mountain

American Fork had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles.

While American Fork might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Maple Mountain scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 23-25, 25-19, 25-21.

Macy Melville paced American Fork's offense, picking up 14 kills. Melville got some help from Ellie Dickey and her 25 assists. Melville was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

American Fork wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Cedar Valley on the 14th. As for Maple Mountain, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Park City on the 14th.
