Volleyball Recap: Northwest Wins Going Away Against Aquinas

Northwest's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Aquinas Knights as they made off with a 3-0 win.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-11, 25-11.

Northwest's offense was headlined by Ally Sharrer and Olivia Vandenberg, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Elizabeth Kulick and her 18 assists. Ashlyn Lazarus controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

The victory got Northwest back to even at 1-1. As for Aquinas, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Northwest will square off against Coventry at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Aquinas, they will face off against East Canton at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
