The home team had come away the winner the last four times Lincoln Park and Taft had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Lions came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 13-8 on Monday. The game was the first time the Lions have beaten the Eagles on their field since April 20, 2022.

Lincoln Park's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Taft, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln Park will venture away from home to square off against Whitney Young at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions are facing the Dolphins at the right time seeing as the Dolphins are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Taft, they will head out on the road to challenge Payton College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Grizzlies will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
