Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ezgi Demirok and Tanner Henderson Lead Wiregrass Ranch to Victory

Wiregrass Ranch proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the River Ridge Royal Knights 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Bulls in their matchups with the Royal Knights: they've now won seven in a row.

The win didn't come easy: River Ridge scored at least nine points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 22-25, 19-25, 15-9.

Wiregrass Ranch was led to victory by Tanner Henderson and Ezgi Demirok. Henderson had 29 digs, while Demirok had 17 assists and 11 digs. Those 29 digs gave Henderson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Luiza Valladares, who had 12 digs and four aces.

Wiregrass Ranch was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, River Ridge still got an impressive performance from Jessica Jacobs, who had 27 digs and two assists. Jacobs has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last six times she's played.

Wiregrass Ranch's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for River Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 11-3.

Wiregrass Ranch didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Cypress Creek on the 30th. As for River Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Hudson on the 30th.
