Volleyball Recap: Ezgi Demirok and Tanner Henderson Secure Win for Wiregrass Ranch

Wiregrass Ranch won the last time they faced River Ridge and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulls had just enough and edged out the Royal Knights 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulls.

Wiregrass Ranch took River Ridge into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 22-25, 19-25, 15-9.

Wiregrass Ranch was led to victory by Tanner Henderson and Ezgi Demirok. Henderson had 29 digs, while Demirok had 17 assists and 11 digs. That's the most digs Demirok has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Luiza Valladares, who had 12 digs and four aces.

Wiregrass Ranch was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as River Ridge only served nine.

When it comes to explaining why River Ridge lost, don't look at Jessica Jacobs. Despite the final result, she had 27 digs and two assists. Jacobs is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Wiregrass Ranch's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for River Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 11-3.

Wiregrass Ranch has already played their next match (against Cypress Creek), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for River Ridge, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Hudson on the 30th.
