Baseball Game Preview: Lamar Warriors vs. Clarksville Panthers

The Lamar Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Clarksville Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Lamar and Pottsville, and Pottsville kept the tradition alive. Lamar fell just short of Pottsville by a score of 7-5 on Friday. The Warriors have struggled against the Apaches recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Amos Bolduc made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Clarksville was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Ozark. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since April 24, 2024.

Clarksville's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lamar, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Lamar couldn't quite get it done against Clarksville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-1. Can Lamar avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
