York had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Niles West Wolves. That's more bragging rights for the Dukes, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hunter Stepanich paced York's offense, picking up 12 kills. Stepanich got some help from Carson Cruver and his 26 assists. Joe McGreal controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

York's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Niles West, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 8-2 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. York will square off against Lyons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Niles West, they will take on Maine West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Wolves their first taste of in-conference action this season.
