Preview: Elmore City-Pernell vs. Apache
On Thursday Apache will take on Elmore City-Pernell at 7:00 PM. Apache don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Apache put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Friday. They were fully in charge, breezing past Rush Springs 49-0. The win was familiar territory for Apache, who now have four in a row.
As for Elmore City-Pernell, they had a rough outing against Rush Springs two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Elmore City-Pernell had enough points to win and then some against Healdton, taking their game 15-0.
Their wins bumped Elmore City-Pernell to 3-4 and Apache to 5-1. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Elmore City-Pernell and Apache clash.
