A well-balanced attack led South County over Hayfield in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Stallions blew the Hawks out of the water with a 44-6 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Stallions had established a 37-point advantage.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to South County's defense and their four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Tony Graham and David Solaita, who racked up all four sacks between them. Caleb Hairston was another major factor on D, making 12 total tackles (3.0 for loss) and defending one pass.

The victory got South County back to even at 1-1. As for Hayfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

South County and Hayfield will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Stallions see the field they'll take on Highland Springs at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for Hayfield, their break will end when they face James Madison at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
