Football Game Recap: Mancos vs. Del Norte

Mancos didn't have too many spare points in their contest with Del Norte on Friday, but they still walked away with a 24-20 win. Mancos have a history of success against Del Norte, winning their last head-to-head 20-12.

The game started off well for Mancos, whose offense put up 24 first-half points. Del Norte came up with 14 to make it 24-14 heading into the break. Mancos were outperformed in the second half 0-6 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the win. The victory bumped their record up to 4-0. The defeat dropped Del Norte's record to 1-3.

Next week Mancos take on Sangre de Cristo at 6:00 PM. Mancos are cruising in on a four-game winning streak while Sangre de Cristo are stumbling in off of three consecutive losses. As for Del Norte, they will face off against Dove Creek. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
